Hiking paths in the mountains

Val Ridanna (German: Ridnauntal) lies near Vipiteno (German: Sterzing). Summer holidays Dolomites it´s a wonderful valley starting from the small mountain resort of Casateia and going till the eternal snows. The hiking paths in this valley lead to the highest mine in Europe. It´s also possible to visit its museum, where the miners life conditions are shown. Another destination of hiking paths in the mountains in Val Ridanna are the Stanghe Waterfalls, (Italian: Cascate di Stanghe, German: Gilfenklamm), near Racines (German: Ratschings). These waterfalls peculiarity is that their bed is in white marble. At the beginning, these waterfalls were just a brook, which became bigger and bigger thanks to the water erosion, having ditched underground paths. It´s possible to visit the waterfalls from May bis October against payment.
